This project was for civil engineering and associated construction works, installing the necessary structure to allow a new manufacturing process at Acordis Derby.
The works, carried out by civil engineering and construction contractor GF Tomlinson & Sons, took place within an existing portal frame factory and included the construction of reinforced concrete bases and support to the new frames and structural steel network including staircases and landings.
Protection and consideration of surrounding areas within the factory was essential.
