G F Tomlinson Handover New 6th Form Centre

G F Tomlinson Building have successfully completed and handed over the new 6th Form Centre at Pingle School in Swadlincote.

The new building replaced the original facility that was recently burnt down.

The new 6th Form will provide post 16 students at Pingle School with a new modern class room, a library study area, toilets, storage areas and a common room, complete with a servery for meals and snacks.

The 6th form students were over the moon with their new facility and when asked, commented, “the new library is amazing, there are nice new computers in there.” “I love the fabulous colour scheme, a much better improvement from the old 6th form block, as it has a more modern feel to it.”

The building was officially opened by former students of the school on December 19th 2007.
