04/09/2006 - tomlinson civil engineering employee scores top marks
Construction group Tomlinson invest greatly in their employees and training programmes and are pleased to see the rewards and benefits of doing this. The civil engineering arm of the company, G F Tomlinson Civil Engineering Ltd, are proud to have Safron Broughton on their team. Safron (21) was awarded the top student award nationally after achieving the highest grade in the UK for completing her International Association of Book-Keepers, Level 3 Certificate in Payroll Administration and attended a prize giving earlier this month.
Safron has attended classes at Babington Business College in the evenings, whilst working full time in the Accounts Department at Tomlinsons. Safron has received mentoring and support from Keith Graham, G F Tomlinson Group Ltd Accountant and Jo Hartshorn, Wages and Accounts Supervisor, which helped her sail through the exams.
Currently Safron is also studying for her Accounting Technician qualification, which she will be starting her final year in September.
Chairman, Barry Sewards enthused, ‘It is a great accomplishment for Safron, both professionally and personally, we wish her every success with her studies and are privileged to have her on our team.’
