Derby based construction company G F Tomlinson Building Limited have scooped another prestigious Craftsmanship Awards at a recently held ceremony in recognition of their outstanding levels of workmanship.
The award was presented by 'The East Midlands Joint Consultative Committee for Construction' at the Nottingham Construction Industry Dinner earlier this month, which was for the high level of craftsmanship on the construction of a new £3.5m school building for the Faculty of Humanities at John Port School Specialist College in Etwall.
Tomlinson are no strangers to construction awards of this kind having won 13 in consecutive years. This emanates from the fact that they have a substantial number of directly employed, time served craftsmen in-house, the majority of which have been with the Company continuously for many years.
Another of G F Tomlinson’s strengths is their versatility on the type of projects undertaken which range from new build and building refurbishments through to restoration of Listed Buildings. The Craftsmanship Awards they have achieved span across the full range of these activities which clearly demonstrates that the expertise and experience within the construction industry is not restricted to a small number of the production/management team but is evident throughout the whole organisation.
Company Chairman Mr. Barry Sewards said “we are absolutely delighted that our level of workmanship has been recognised once again in this way. We are very much a ‘People’ organisation and it is the skills and experience of our staff which enables us to win all of these awards”.
