Approach

This scheme involved the strip out, alterations and refurbishment of the existing Nightingale Ward.

The project also involved a three storey new build extension to form accommodation for Paediatric use including physiotherapy, occupational therapy and school health nursing.

This was an ambitious project to bring all of the Trust’s children’s services under one roof and was designed as a new build to be situated next to child audiology and just down the corridor from the hospital’s paediatric Nightingale ward. Key features: Amalgamation of Specialist Children’s services, Collaborative working relationship with the client and the Design Team, Sensory and soft play areas, Hospital remained fully operational.

Contract Period: 44 weeks
