Technical Trainees

The Tomlinson Group offers a number of sandwich placements which are open to undergraduate students wishing to take career courses building management, project management, construction management, civil engineering or quantity surveying. This is embodied within a training programme which not only concentres upon the degree course but also enables students to get a general business sense through spending small amounts of time within the various departments of the business.

Potential applicants must possess the relevant qualifications which are required by the University to take part in the chosen courses. Interviews normally take place in late May early June with a view to starting the formal training in the following September.

Trade Apprenticeships

Our three year apprenticeships in joinery, bricklaying and construction allow you to develop your skills by working alongside our skilled and experienced crafts people whilst studying your City & Guilds chosen craft. Interviews for candidates who have passed an assessment exam will be in June/July with a view to an appointment by the 1st September in readiness for the start of the College academic year.
